Cloud Sync overview
Optional encrypted sync across devices using your own cloud storage.
Cloud Sync lets you use the same encrypted clipboard history on multiple devices you control. It is optional, off by default, and requires a Pro+Sync subscription (monthly or yearly). Lifetime (Pro only) does not include sync.
How it works
- You sign in to ClipaX.
- You enable sync and pick a provider: WebDAV, Google Drive, or Dropbox.
- ClipaX encrypts on your device, then uploads ciphertext to your storage.
- Other devices pull and decrypt with your account key.
ClipaX servers help with accounts and keys; they do not store your clipboard plaintext.
Requirements checklist
- Pro+Sync active on the device store account
- Signed in under Settings → Account
- Provider authorized under Settings → Cloud Sync
Local cache
ClipaX keeps a local sync cache for performance. Manage retention and clear it under Cloud Sync cache.
Tips
- Enable sync only on devices you trust.
- After changing providers, clear cache and re-authorize.
