Desktop vs mobile
How ClipaX differs on desktop and mobile.
ClipaX shares the same Canvas experience everywhere, but platform rules change how clipboard capture and quick-paste work.
Shared on all platforms
- History list with search and filters
- Canvas previews (text, links, images, files, smart formats)
- Categories and favorites (all plans)
- Tags (Pro / Pro+Sync)
- Sign-in for account features (purchases, profile, and optional sync)
- Optional Cloud Sync with Pro+Sync via Google Drive, Dropbox, or WebDAV
Desktop only (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Continuous clipboard monitoring while the app is running
- Nexus — a separate quick-paste window
- Global shortcuts — default
Cmd+Shift+V/Ctrl+Shift+Vfor Nexus - Source app attribution
- Menu bar / system tray presence
Mobile (iOS, Android)
- No Nexus and no global hotkey
- History updates when you open ClipaX or return to the foreground (iOS/Android do not allow always-on clipboard monitoring like desktop)
- Full-screen Settings and in-app purchase via the App Store
- Swipe actions on list rows for quick organize / favorite
