Install ClipaX on mobile, capture on foreground, organize with swipes, and know desktop-only limits.
ClipaX on iPhone and Android shares the same account, encryption model, and Canvas experience as desktop—but clipboard capture and organization gestures follow mobile platform rules.
Install
Download from the download page:
- iOS — App Store
- Android — APK from the download page
Sign in with the same ClipaX account you use on desktop if you want optional Cloud Sync.
How capture works (important)
Mobile does not run a background clipboard listener. ClipaX reads the system pasteboard when:
- You launch the app, or
- ClipaX returns to the foreground after you switched away

Habit to build: copy → open ClipaX (or app switcher) → confirm the item → paste or organize.

Typical workflow
- Copy text, a link, or an image in Safari, Chrome, Messages, etc.
- Switch to ClipaX — the latest copy appears at the top of history.
- Tap the row to open Canvas; use Copy to put it back on the pasteboard.
- Optional: swipe to favorite or open More for category — see Organize.

Tags are not in the row More sheet — use the Tags action on the Canvas toolbar. See Organize for phone vs tablet details.
There is no Nexus window and no global hotkeys on mobile.
Settings & billing
Settings is full screen on phones and tablets:
- Account — sign in, subscription status
- History — retention and cleanup (History retention)
- Cloud Sync — same providers as desktop when subscribed to Pro+Sync
On iOS, purchases use the App Store billing sheet. Android (APK) is not on Google Play — Subscribe opens clipax.app billing in the browser, like Windows, Linux, and macOS (DMG).
Not available on mobile
- Nexus quick-paste overlay
- Startup at login and clipboard monitoring toggle (desktop semantics)
- Source app filters ignore list (desktop only)
- Menu bar / system tray residence
Tips
- Add ClipaX to your app switcher for faster “copy → switch” flow.
- Use favorites for clips you paste often during a session.
- Enable Cloud Sync only on devices you trust (Privacy).
